CRITERIA FOR JUDGING 2010:

Preliminary Competition for ALL CONTESTANTS

Personal Interview: 15%

Personal Fitness: 15%

Talent: 35%

Evening Gown: 15%

Question and Answer: 20%

Final Competition for TOP 15

(The 15 highest scores will make up the top 15 finalists) – their slates will be cleared and they will re-compete in the following categories:

Question & Answer – 35%

Personal Fitness – 15%

Evening Gown – 15%

Talent – 35%

Announcement of the Top Five Finalists

The top 5 highest scores will make up the top five finalists (winner, 1st runner up, 2nd runner up, 3rd runner up, and 4th runner up)

Would you or your Business like to Sponsor MBM USA Pageant?

The Miss Black Michigan USA Scholarship Pageant is the perfect opportunity for your company to

target a diverse consumer market. As a sponsor you will gain tremendous exposure for your products and/or services through visibility at our pageant with an attendance of 300-500 people, through statewide media appearance and VIP Events hosted by our queen. In addition, this year we have integrated the Miss Black Michigan USA Talented Teen Pageant. Please join us as we help pave the way for tomorrow’s bright, young leaders of this great state and nation.

Our major goals for the pageant competition are:

• to award scholarships to deserving young women to help further their education at institutions of higher learning; • to encourage the cultivation of excellence through the development of education, talent, health and beauty;

• to provide a showcase that promotes intelligence, strong character and perseverance; Delegates will compete in five categories: personal interview, health & fitness, talent, evening gown, and the question/ answer segment;

• to provide cultural pride and community outreach throughout the state with the ideal that achieving one’s destiny must include helping the next generation.

We have several different sponsorship levels to ensure that your company will be able to find a level that caters to your companies desires and budget. We thank you in advance for supporting the Miss Black Michigan Pageant, this event could not happen without your contributions.

Are you Eligible to compete?

Eligibility
You may apply to become a contestant in the Miss Black Michigan Pageant or the Talented Teen Pageant, requesting an application via email at MissBlackMichiganUSA@gmail.com You are eligible to compete as long as you live, work or attend school in the state of Michigan, You are between the ages of 14-27 and agree to the terms of participation listed below...

*You must be single; not married.
*You must not have given birth to a child
*You must be a natural born female.
*You must be a citizen of the United States and reside in Michigan

*You must be in excellent physical and mental health and possess good moral character

* You must be able to pay the Delegate Entry fee of $250 and sell a page Ad for the program book. (Payment plans are available )

Once we have received you Application and your $50 Registration fee, you are confirmed as a contestant in the Miss Black Michigan Pageant. Within 10 business days upon receipt of your Application& Fee you will receive a delegate package in the mail with all information included concerning the Miss Black Michigan Pageant.

Exclusions
You may not have competed more than twice in the national Miss Black USA pageant and may not represent the same state more than once.
Employees, officers, directors and agents of Miss Black USA Pageant (Miss Black Michigan USA Pageant) and/or of any of their respective licensees, assigns, parents, affiliated and subsidiary companies and the immediate family (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, regardless of where they live) or members of their same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers, directors and agents are not eligible to be contestants in the Miss Black Michigan USA or participate in this application process
